These fascinating secretive raptors often go unnoticed due to their nocturnal habits. Let's shine some light on what we know about them. We will discuss the eight most common species in PA.


The lecture's will be presented by Ornithologist, Dan Hinnebusch from Wild Birds Unlimited (next door).
Dan has nine years of experience as a professional wildlife biologist and environmental scientist, including four years with Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Dan teaches classes about birds and ecology for Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He also participates locally in the Breeding Bird Survey, an annual international count of birds at selected points to monitor changes in bird populations. Dan
