“Beyond the Garden Gate” is a self-guided walking tour of 12 unique Lancaster City historic properties, as well as Fig Industries headquarters on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from Noon to 5 pm. Tickets are available the day of the tour for a $12 donation (payable by cash or check) at the corner of S. Duke and E. Vine streets.

The fruits of a widely acclaimed urban renewal project in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, many of these homes bear plaques dating them to the 19th and early 20th centuries. They feature interesting architectural features and quaint secret gardens behind classic Lancaster brick facades.

Attendees will be able to enjoy discounts on food items at local restaurants the day of the tour, including DiCarlo’s Pizza, Annie Bailey’s and Tellus 360. Proceeds benefit the public spaces and parks in and around the Neighborhoods of Old Town.
