Elizabethtown, known locally as E-town, is a borough in the northwestern corner of Lancaster County along the Conewago Creek, positioned midway between Lancaster and Harrisburg and just a few miles from Hershey. Its Amtrak station on the Keystone Corridor makes it one of the easier Lancaster County towns to reach by rail, and Elizabethtown College gives the walkable downtown a steady college-town energy.
The college campus hosts public performances at the Tempest Theatre and Gibble Auditorium and rotating shows at the Lyet Gallery. Around town, Moo-Duck Brewery pours craft beer, Movie-Town runs first-run films, and the Elizabethtown/Hershey KOA gives families a campground base within a short drive of Hersheypark.
Elizabethtown's dining runs casual and local: T.J. Rockwell's American Grill & Tavern is the longtime sit-down favorite, Folklore Coffee and Whisk Cafe cover the morning crowd, and Ridge Run Tavern rounds out the pub options.
