The perennial theme is country/primitive, with over fifty quality vendors displaying tremendous art and craft pieces. Visitors are guaranteed to be charmed and delighted by the quaint wreaths, baskets, gourds, needle felting, pottery, candles, stenciling and decorative paintings. Looking for an evening out with friends, or just a crafty night by yourself to get into the holiday spirit? Join us for an evening with Paint and Enjoy at Nissley Vineyards. Graphic Designer and Artist, Connie Higgins, will lead you step-by-step through the process of creating a masterpiece you will be proud of.

Grab your friends, sip your favorite Nissley wines, and craft a glowing 9” Sea Glass Angel with lights - a masterpiece you will be proud of.

Organist Larry Hershey will present a free 30 minute concert at 8 PM on First Friday, November 7 at First Reformed Church, 40 E. Orange Street, in downtown Lancaster. The program, “Thanksgiving Delights” will include “Fanfare and Processional” by Keith Chapman, former organist of The Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia, “Folk Tune” by Percy Whitlock, and Richard Elliott’s arrangement on “Shall We Gather at the River?”. The program will conclude with the Virgil Fox arrangement of Bach’s “Now Thank We All Our God” (Cantata 79).

The First Friday “Organic Reflections” concert series is a gift to the community from First Reformed Church, a center city congregation of the United Church of Christ. Only 30 minutes in length, the free concerts begin at 8 PM each First Friday for the convenience of those who wish to spend the early evening visiting downtown galleries before the concert. Doors open at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to hear 30 minutes of majestic music that will refresh your soul.

An original concert experience that is sure to be an unforgettable part of your holiday season! Half-part musical theater nostalgia, half-part take it to church worship concert, Perfect Harmony sings stunning original arrangements of favorite holiday classics in (of course) three-part PERFECT HARMONY. "Perfect" for the entire family and all ages!

Featuring professional vocalists from Lancaster County, a live band, beautiful costumes, and the original and inspiring arrangements Perfect Harmony is known for, this is sure to be a highlight of your Christmas season...it even SNOWS!

Playing at The Barn at Paradise Station in Lancaster County, PA, November 10-December 21, 2025 and to select touring locations.

Show length runs approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, including a 15 minute intermission.

The Reverend Dr. Dominique Denman, pastor of First Reformed United Church of Christ, will host a special Veteran’s Day service on Tuesday, November 11 at 10 am. The program in the historic 1854 church sanctuary at 40 East Orange Street, will include music, prayers, and a reading by 96 year-old Korean War era Veteran Bill Sloyer. Mr. Sloyer, a Lancaster native, is a lifetime member of First Reformed Church. Others participating include Vietnam Veterans Don Markley and Jim Chryst, reading “American Creed” and “Old Glory” respectively. Baritone Rick Weinhold will sing “In Flander’s Fields” and additional music will be provided by Doug Albert, trumpet, and Larry Hershey, organ.

Veterans and all who wish to honor them are invited to the service at 10 am. Light refreshments will follow the service.

The New Holland Band presents their 2nd annual Veterans Day Concert on Tuesday, November 11 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel at Garden Spot Village. With tunes that reflect the experiences of our service men and women, the program will include “Bugle Call Boogie”,” A Nation’s Strength” and “Seapower Fanfare”. Also included are Richard Rodgers’ Selections from South Pacific and Charles Ives’ Variations on “America”. A new concert band arrangement of Hoagy Carmichael’s “Memphis in June” will feature the duet of Air Force veterans Warren “Doc” Daugherty on alto saxophone and John Zontek on trombone. Zontek is the arranger of this new work and will make a guest appearance with the New Holland Band for its area premier. The conclusion of the concert will feature the “United States Armed Forces Service Song Medley” in which we ask veterans to stand and be recognized for their service to our country when they hear their service song played.

In this unique workshop, you will enjoy a basic glass-blowing experience. Join us as we prepare for the holiday season and create your own Christmas pickle/ornament! Perfect for beginners. Great idea for a date night! Your instructor, Michael Peluso, brings 20 years of experience and knowledge to help you experience the wonders of this 2,000-year-old craft.

“Persuasion” will be performed within the rooms on the first floor of the General Hand Mansion on November 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM and November 16 and 23 at 3 PM. This one-act play, inspired by scenes from Jane Austen’s final novel, was adapted by Samuel Slaymaker. The Actor’s School is the creative team for this production.

“Persuasion” relates the story of Anne Elliot, an aristocratic young lady who declines marrying Captain Frederick Wentworth at a youthful age even though she deeply loves him. After a period of seven years, Anne and Wentworth meet again and must resolve their feelings through a series of encounters that are highlighted in the play.

Due to size constraints within the rooms of the Hand Mansion, audiences are limited to 15 guests per performance. Guests will be standing throughout the performance and will be moving from room to room following the action of the play.
