The Curious Incident of The Dog in Night-Time

Ephrata Performing Arts Center | website | Ephrata, false 17522 event website

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN NIGHT-TIME
MARCH 19 – 28
We all see the world differently, but Christopher John Francis Boone has an unusual perspective. Living on the autism spectrum, life can be tough at times, but being a mathematical genius certainly helps. After finding his neighbor’s dog stabbed with a garden fork and being wrongfully accused, Christopher takes it upon himself to solve this dark mystery. But when he uncovers more truths than he bargained for, his investigation will take him farther from home than he’s ever been alone. Based on the novel of the same name by Mark Haddon, this Tony Award and Olivier Award winning play is about more than just a murder mystery. It’s about perspective and coming-of-age. It’s beautiful, tragic, and fun.

Ramble through Tucquan Glen or Kelly's Run Glen

Kelly’s Run Pinnacle

Trail, Hiking, Bucket
website | map it | No direct road access (see LCC website), Martic Township, Pennsylvania, 17532

The remains of an old rocky road are visible where flat schistic rocks have been placed side by side in and beside the stream. The Conservancy’s “Kelly’s Run Pinnacle Preserve” now encompasses the Conservancy’s Kelly’s Run trails, the former PPL Pinnacle preserve and the former PPL Holtwood Nature Preserve.

Tucquan Glen

Trail, Hiking, Bucket
website | map it | River Road, Martic Township, Pennsylvania, 17532

A largely abandoned dirt road and well-worn trail meander through the heart of the ravine for nearly a mile. Occasionally the road and trail run together for short distances, but are generally apart. We suggest taking the trail down to the railroad and returning via the road. The round trip trail length is estimated at 2.4 miles.
