In 1824, American Revolutionary War hero the Marquis de Lafayette visited the United States of America for a Grand Tour of all 24 states. Join public historian Elizabeth M. Reese in a lecture following Lafayette’s tour, highlighting the important people, events, and legacy of America’s favorite fighting Frenchman.

Elizabeth M. Reese is a historian in the Washington, DC area, and has spent over a decade as an interpreter at historic sites on the East Coast. Her work has also appeared in TIME, the New York Times, and C-SPAN. She is currently the Senior Manager of Public Programs & Interpretation at Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House in Alexandria, Virginia.

From earrings and necklace pendants, to clay pots and coasters, make your selection from our menu of items. We then supply you with tools and a plethora of beautiful materials to decoupage your items of choice.

What is decoupage? Decoupage is the art or craft of decorating objects with paper cut-outs. You will use glue and a brush to cover items with beautiful scraps of paper. It’s a way to beautiful everyday objects from jewelry to trinkets to functional items. Our menu will provide you with a variety of options. And while everything you need will be supplied, you’re welcome to bring papers of your own that are meaningful to you. Only keep in mind that thin papers work best.
