Dedicated to the decorative arts and committed to excellence in craftsmanship, Distelfink Country Christmas is a unique show. The theme is country/ primitive so don’t expect anything flashy. Held annually by the Distelfink Crafters, a nonprofit group, this juried craft show includes works from members and non-members alike to create a shopping experience par excellence. At Distelfink Country Christmas over fifty quality vendors display tremendous art and craft pieces in a Christmas boutique setting. Quilted and handmade ornaments, felt sewn Christmas trimmings, hand crafted toys, trendy canine treats, designer chocolates, redware pottery, handpainted home décor, candles, quaint basket weaving, stenciling, and decorative paintings are some of the items that visitors are guaranteed to be charmed and delighted by.

Rock Ford Plantation, in collaboration with Theater of the Seventh Sister, is pleased to present “The Matchmaker: A Tale Drawn from ‘Emma’ by Jane Austen.” This one-act play, adapted from the classic novel, will be presented in the candlelit rooms of the Rock Ford mansion on November 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22. Each performance will run approximately 50 minutes with scenes taking place in each of the four parlors on the main floor and in the central hallway of the circa 1794 mansion. Limited to 20 guests per performance. Reservations required.
