On First Friday, February 7 “Organic Reflections”, a free 30 minute concert, features resident organist Larry Hershey playing the vintage 1958 analog Allen organ at First Reformed Church, 40 E Orange Street in downtown Lancaster. The concert featuring romantic era composers begins at 8 PM and is entitled "Unfailing Love”, and includes works by Brahms, Mendelssohn, Rheinberger and Schumann. The concert will conclude with the “Grand March” from Verdi’s opera, “Aida”. The First Friday “Organic Reflections” series is a gift to the Lancaster community from First Reformed Church, a center city congregation of the United Church of Christ. Only 30 minutes in length, the free concerts begin at 8 PM each First Friday for the convenience of those who wish to spend the early evening visiting downtown galleries before the concert. Doors open at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to experience the beauty of the majestic music played on the mighty 1958 vintage analog Allen organ.
